Choosing and Updating Your Exchange It Subscription Plan

Exchange It offers tiered subscription plans that unlock returns and exchanges capabilities as you move up. Use this page when you first subscribe, when you want to start your free trial, or when you want to move to a different plan.

Where to find it

Open the subscription/plan selection area in the Exchange It admin, where the Starter, Standard, and Advanced plan cards are displayed side by side.

Prerequisites

No plan is required to view this page — this is where you select your plan. If your store has never subscribed before, the plan buttons offer a 7‑day free trial when you start.

The plans

• Starter — $4.99/month: 10 returns or exchanges per month, Admin Request Manager, Same Order Exchanges, New Order Exchanges, Return tracking, and Email notifications.
• Standard — $9.99/month: Shopper-Facing Returns Portal, unlimited returns and exchanges, Refunds or Store Credit options, ability to remove Exchange It branding, Return Rules (time, country, product), plus all Starter features.
• Advanced — $19.99/month: All Standard features, Data Export, Shipping Integration (Shippo), and Post-return Upselling.

Set it up

1. Review the three plan cards and decide which tier fits your volume and feature needs.
2. On the card for the plan you want, use the plan selection button to choose that plan. If your store has never subscribed, this begins your 7‑day free trial; otherwise it selects the plan and takes you to the payment page to confirm.
3. The button on your active plan shows as your current plan and cannot be re-selected, so you always know which tier you are on.

When you already have an active subscription and want to switch tiers, use the update control to move your store to the newly chosen plan.

What changes when you update

Changing your plan updates the plan recorded for your store. Moving between tiers can reset certain feature-specific settings tied to higher tiers — for example, upsell and original-order exchange options can be turned off — so review your Exchange It settings after a plan change to confirm the features you rely on are still configured the way you want.

Managing your plan

Return to this plan selection page any time to move up or down between tiers. Choose the plan you want on its card, then confirm on the payment page; the card for your active plan will be marked as your current plan.
