Follow these steps to download your returns and exchange data:
Step 1: Navigate to the Exchange It Dashboard
From your Shopify Admin, click on Apps.
Find and click on the Exchange It app to open it.
Ensure you are on the Dashboard tab, which is the main screen you see when the app loads.
Step 2: Initiate the Export
In the top-right corner of the Returns Dashboard, you will find several options. Click on the Export button.
Step 3: Select Your Date Range
After clicking "Export," a pop-up window labeled "Export your Returns Data" will appear.
Use the calendars provided to select a date range for your export.
Click on your desired start date and then your desired end date.
Step 4: Customize the Data Fields
Below the calendars, you will find a checklist under the heading "Export the selected fields." This list represents all the columns of data you can include in your report.
By default, all fields are selected.
Review the list and uncheck the box next to any data point you do not need in your report. You can customize the export to include only the information that is relevant to you, such as:
Return Number
Original Order Name
Customer Info (Name, Email)
Return Request Date
Requested Return Items (Name, SKU, Quantity)
And many more.
Step 5: Download Your CSV File
Once you are satisfied with the selected date range and data fields, click the green Export button at the bottom-right of the pop-up window.
The system will instantly generate the CSV file with your specified data and it will be downloaded to your computer, ready for you to open and use.
