Customize the Returns Tracker Action Buttons and Cancel-Request Modal
Updated Sep 30, 2026
Use this group to control the wording of the action buttons in the Returns Tracker and the text of the cancellation confirmation modal, so customers see clear prompts when they cancel a return or begin an additional request.
Where to find it
Go to Returns Portal > Customize Portal > Returns Tracker — Actions.
Set it up
Edit each field with your preferred wording. Changes are saved to the portal's custom text.
- Cancel the Request — Sets the label of the button customers click to cancel their return from the Returns Tracker actions area. Clicking it opens the cancellation confirmation modal. Default:
Cancel my request. - Start Another Return Request Button — Sets the button label customers click to begin an additional return request from the Returns Tracker actions area. Default:
+ Request another Return. - Request Cancellation "Are you sure?" Text — The confirmation prompt shown in the cancel-request modal when the tracker switches to confirmation mode. Default:
Are you sure?. - Confirm Text — The label of the confirm ("Yes, cancel") button in the confirmation modal. Default:
Confirm. - Cancel Text — The label of the dismiss ("No, go back") button in the confirmation modal. Default:
Cancel.
To preview your wording, use the Preview mode selector: the 'Cancel & New Return' mode shows the action buttons, and the 'Confirmation Modal' mode shows the confirmation prompt with the Confirm and Cancel buttons.
What changes when you turn this on
Each field writes to the portal's custom text for the Returns Tracker. The Cancel the Request and Start Another Return Request Button values render as the two action buttons in the tracker's actions area. When a customer clicks the cancel button, the tracker switches to confirmation mode and displays the Request Cancellation "Are you sure?" Text prompt together with the Confirm Text and Cancel Text buttons. If a field is left empty, the portal falls back to its built-in default text.
Plan requirements
The primary-language fields above are available on all plans. To provide second-language versions of these same fields (for example, a translated "Are you sure?" prompt or translated action buttons), select the second language on the Customize Portal tab; multiple languages require the Advanced plan. The second-language defaults are prefixed with (Translate) until you replace them.
